What patients are saying about WebView...

Thanks a bunch, this is really cool...

You guys should be congratulated for using this...

The quick communication WebView allows is absolutely awesome...

I don't know why other offices haven't gone to this type of communication...

Thank you, you have made my day simpler and better.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I hear about my test results? You should hear back from our office with the results of any test that we order...don't assume that if you do not hear from us that your tests were normal or negative.
The length of time it takes to get back to you depends what test was ordered and where the test was done. We get most blood test results back the next day. If you subscribe to WebView, you can view those results that evening or the next day in your chart. It may take your provider another day to review the test results and get back to you by phone; it will take another couple of days to reply by mail. In any case, if you have not heard back from our office regarding blood test results within 7 days, you should call the office to follow up.
Other tests, such as pap smears, biopsies, nerve conduction studies, sleep studies, stress tests, and EEGs may take as long as a couple of weeks to return to the office.

My insurance company requires a prior authorization before they will cover the cost of my medication. What does that mean? It means that the insurance company requires additional, special information before they will cover the cost of your medication. The insurance company wants to know that certain criteria have been met before they will pay for certain, usually more expensive, medications. It may mean that the insurance company prefers that you try and fail a lower cost alternative first; it may mean that they want more information on your medical condition to see that the medication is being used appropriately. For some medications, the insurance company requires a prior authorization annually for as long as the medication is in use.
When a prior authorization is required, the pharmacy faxes the request to a nurse at our office. She consults with the provider, and then she gathers the necessary clinical information. She documents the information and the request for coverage and then she faxes it to the insurance company. The insurance company usually responds within three working days. They will notify the patient, our office, and the pharmacy when a decision on coverage is reached.
Prior authorizations are done in a "triage" style, depending on the urgency or severity of the condition being treated. Fulton Family Health does not charge for this service. Keep in mind that at any time, you have the option of purchasing the prescription at the pharmacy.
